Second, since 1996, we have been entrenched in the McKinney community. We are a member of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, we raised our girls here, we work to make McKinney a stronger community by volunteering in a variety of community events. Providing educational programs in local schools, participating in “Krewe of Barkus”, volunteering at the SPCA of Texas and walking in “Strut your Mutt” are just a few of the ways we give back to McKinney.

In addition, we participate in training and conferences to help us provide expert knowledge for our clients. From knowing how to handle fence aggression, to pet CPR/First Aid, to having an action plan for a natural disaster, we are equipped to provide professional and loving care for pets.

The Top Dog Pet Sitters Team is exceptional. We know how difficult it can be to leave your pet and home in the care of strangers. Several of the TDPS members are clients or were referred through a friend. Every team member goes through an extensive interview process, attends training and workshops, undergoes a background check, and must provide professional references. In addition, it is common for pet care services to use independent contractors. ALL of the TDPS Team Members are employees and not independent contractors. Why is this important to pet parents? Independent Contractors work without supervision. As employees, the TDPS Team is supervised and held accountable by Susan and Erick, providing pet parents and their critters, a superior experience.

Our clients will tell you we provide exceptional customer service. If your pup tracks in mud, we clean it up. Kitty litter on the floor? We sweep it up. If a client has an odd schedule, we do our best to accommodate what is needed. After every visit, the client receives a Pet Journal, and often a picture.

We use a data base system for scheduling to ensure that no pet is ever forgotten. Our software will send out a reservation confirmation so that pet parents know their reservation was recorded correctly. Clients also receive an itemized invoice.

Sipsey

Feisty and lively, this little “Chi” has the energy of the Energizer Bunny. The heat index is often 105 degrees but she NEVER tires from playing fetch. Sipsey is highly intelligent. Don’t try to fake her out or hide the ball. She WILL find it!

Zip

This 8 year old Bull Terrier loves to swim, but sinks like a rock, so a doggie life jacket is a must! Zip wants to be right in the middle of whatever action is going on.
